The Barn at the Hare and Hounds wedding ~ Micà and Carl
The one with the Beast from the East!
Winter weddings, low fading winter light, possibility of rain and small windows of oppertunity for photographs! Enough to put the fear into any seasoned wedding photographer!
On this particular day in March, when you expect it to be heading towards Spring and milder weather, the thermometer plummeted and with the threat of Snow on the forecast my heart raced with both a little fear and a lot of excitement!
I arrived at The Barn at the Hare and Hounds along the A4 in Newbury in plenty of time, the snow started to fall gently but didn't amass to anything this early in the day!
I was greeted by the girls who were having make-up expertly applied by the wonderful Lissy, so I knew they were in very safe hands!
Soon it was time to head to St Mary's Church in Thatcham and the girls were transported in the Warmth of Rusty and Roses, 2 of the most delightful wedding camper vans ever!
Micà and Carl have the most adorable little girl, Evelyn, who really enjoyed herself during the ceremony!
The Beast from the East was still yet to show its full force but as we came out of the Church we didn't hang around for long as the thermometer was still plummeting to sub zero temperatures!
The Barn at the Hare and Hounds made for the perfect winter wedding location, it was all warm and snug and as everyone took their seats for the wedding breakfast I kept a watchful eye on the changing weather outside!
Just as the speeches ended, the snow has started to fall big time! Micà and Carl were fearless in the wrath of The Beast from the East and we ventured out into the car park, yes, the car park to make some truly awesome photographs!
Here is a selection of favourites from Micà and Carls wedding day!
