Saunton Sands North Devon Wedding ~ Sammi and Simon
I love a road trip! I love wedding's and I love North Devon! So i was absolutely thrilled when Samantha and Simon got in touch to see if i would make the journey down to the fabulous Saunton Sands Hotel in Saunton on the North Devonshire Coastline! I didn't have to be asked twice! Just over a year ago i photographed Samantha Sister's wedding at Stokes Farm Barn in Wokingham, hey, i might even get the Hat-trick and photograph their brothers wedding in the future ;)
Could this be classed as a destination wedding? As a Newbury based wedding photographer and a round trip of 300 miles, add in to the equation that it was a beach location, I'm claiming it!
Following a fairly painless journey down to the Saunton Sands Hotel i checked in to my room for next 2 nights and made myself at home, the next morning i was greeted with the most amazing view across Saunton Beach! The Hotel was fully booked, and it's easy to why, the most amazing location for surfers and golfers alike with well pointed guest rooms and links to some stunning coastlines!
The wedding party had hired a delightful cottage in Croyde bay for a week and made the most of the beautiful weather we were experiencing. Following a hearty breakfast i headed down to the cottage to meet Sammi and her lovely family and let the day unfold from there.
Following the lovely ceremony we headed out onto the beautifully landscaped gardens to take full advantage of the backdrop across the bay, we even made it down on to the beach for some stunning portraits, absolute photography heaven!
